JUNIOR CULINARY ARTS
The Blue CanTEEN Food Truck is part of the Boys & Girls Club’s culinary workforce training initiative, giving teens a chance to operate a fully functioning food truck while learning culinary, customer-service, and business skills. It serves as both a classroom on wheels and a way to connect our young chefs with the greater Collier County community.
Our food truck serves freshly prepared meals made with locally sourced ingredients while giving Club teens hands-on experience running a culinary business. Look for the Blue CanTEEN around town at businesses, schools, events, and community markets.
The Junior Culinary Arts Program provides teens ages 15–18 with real-world culinary, leadership, and life skills. Teens train in our state-of-the-art kitchens and on the Blue CanTEEN food truck.

Community Events Served Our teens have brought their talent to heartfelt local causes such as Empty Bowls of Naples, Collier County Sheriff Office Health Fair, Lipman’s Backpack Giveaway Event, Cancer Alliance Network, among others – spreading both good food and goodwill across Collier County

Nutritious Meals for Local Schools
In partnership with Collier County schools, the Blue CanTEEN team provides hot, balanced meals daily to ensure youth have the nutrition they need to learn and thrive.
Catering & Community Events
The truck doubles as a mobile event and awareness platform, serving at festivals, fundraisers, and private events. These experiences spotlight the Club’s mission while raising awareness about the importance of youth development and healthy living.
Work-Based Learning in Culinary Arts
Teens gain hands-on training in a restaurant-style kitchen and food truck environment, learning skills such as menu planning, food preparation, customer service, and safe food handling.
Career Pathway Experience
Participants explore future opportunities in culinary arts, hospitality, and entrepreneurship — preparing them for both entry-level jobs and postsecondary training.
