This summer, as part of our College & Career Readiness initiatives, Club members are engaging in impactful, hands-on experiences that help them envision and prepare for their futures. Through visits with community partners like Physicians Regional, Florida SouthWestern State College, and the University of South Florida, teens had the chance to explore real college campuses and career environments. These trips provide invaluable exposure to higher education and career pathways, equipping local youth with the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to pursue their goals and shape their own great futures.
Programs in this core area include: Career Launch, Diplomas 2 Degrees, Work-based Learning Programs, Great Futures VR, Life Hub
Club members at Physicians Regional
Thanks to the generous support of the Go Fore It Foundation and Achieva Credit Union, a group of our Nichols Club teens enjoyed a dynamic two-day experience that blended fitness, recreation, and financial education.
Their journey began at Lely Resort Golf & Country Club, where a professional coach taught them the basics of putting, driving, and course etiquette. For many, it was their first time on a golf course—but with each swing, they gained new skills and confidence.
The fun continued the next day at Top Golf, where members put their practice into play in a friendly and exciting environment. From perfecting their aim to cheering on their teammates, the experience highlighted how recreational sports can build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love for movement.
Programs in this core area include: Personal Fitness, Badges for Baseball, Intro to Sports, and Sports Leagues.
