Volunteer

We strongly believe in the value that volunteers add to the well being and development of our members. Even as little as one or two hours per week as a volunteer can have a positive impact on a child’s life. Volunteering at BGCCC will make a positive impact on your life as well. You will serve as a role model and positive influence on a child’s life, their future and their impact on the community.

We offer one-time volunteer opportunities as well as ongoing options. Volunteer opportunities are available for those who wish to work with children as tutors or mentors. There are also volunteer opportunities to assist with special events and fundraisers. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and eligible to work with students. Volunteers interested in on-going opportunities must attend a volunteer training and submit the following:

  • Volunteer Application
  • Volunteer Handbook
  • Reference Letter
  • Drug and Alcohol Screening (BGCCC is a Drug-Free Workplace)
  • Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
  • Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI)
  • National (CORI)

Please be advised that a copy of your government issued ID, i.e. driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, etc. must accompany the CORI form.
