Boys & Girls Club of Collier County (BGCCC) collected 615 new backpacks for local children through its 2026 Stuff the Bus campaign, thanks to support from businesses, organizations and community members across Collier County.
Launched ahead of the new school year, Stuff the Bus called on the community to help fill BGCCC’s buses with backpacks and school supplies for local youth. Donations included notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks and other classroom essentials, helping ensure Club members have the supplies they need to arrive at school ready to learn.
“Seeing 615 backpacks come through our doors is a powerful reminder of how much our community cares about its kids,” said Paul Donahue, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Collier County. “Every backpack represents a young person starting the school year with the tools they need and a community behind them. We’re grateful to every individual, business and organization that stepped up to support our kids.”
The campaign was supported by Allura Lifestyled Living, Amazon, Chase Bank, Chick-fil-A Addison Place, Chrysler Dodge Ram Naples, FC Naples, Four Seasons, Galaxy Fit Lab, Great Wolf Lodge, Herc rentals, LMCU, Meadow Lakes Apartments, River Reach Apartments, Somerset Palms Apartments, Sunnyside, Walmart and Woodmen Life, along with individual donors and community members who contributed backpacks and supplies throughout the drive.
The donated supplies will support children and families served by BGCCC across Naples and Immokalee. BGCCC serves more than 4,600 children and teens each year, providing academic support, mentorship, healthy meals, leadership opportunities, sports, the arts and a safe place for young people to learn and grow outside of school hours.
Stuff the Bus also highlights the role transportation plays in connecting local families with those resources. BGCCC expanded its transportation network this year with four buses helping provide more than 350 additional children with access to Club programs.
