Boys & Girls Club of Collier County Invites Community to “Stuff the Bus” for Local Youth | Club Update

As families prepare for the upcoming school year, Boys & Girls Club of Collier County (BGCCC) is inviting the community to help local children head back to the classroom with the supplies they need through its Stuff the Bus campaign.

Beginning July 20, local businesses, civic organizations, philanthropic groups, and community members are encouraged to donate new backpacks and school supplies by filling one of BGCCC’s Naples Campus buses. The initiative highlights the Club’s new four-bus transportation expansion, launched to help remove one of the greatest barriers preventing children from accessing after-school programs. Two new buses now provide transportation from Parkside Elementary, Avalon Elementary, Golden Gate Elementary, and Herbert Cambridge Elementary, while two additional buses expand transportation services in Immokalee through partnerships with organizations including Guadalupe Center, The Immokalee Foundation, RMCA, and other youth-serving agencies. Together, the four buses will connect more than 350 additional children to BGCCC’s academic support, mentorship, healthy meals, and safe after-school environment.

“When a child has the supplies they need and a reliable way to get to the Club, they’re set up for a stronger start to the year,” said Paul Donahue, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Collier County. “Whether it’s a backpack or transportation that helps a family access our programs, every investment creates more opportunities for local children.”

BGCCC is seeking donations of new backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, scissors, and other classroom essentials. Donations can be dropped off directly into the new bus at the Naples Campus starting July 20, 2026.

The Stuff the Bus campaign comes as BGCCC prepares to welcome children back this fall. Families are encouraged to apply early, with expanded transportation now opening the door for more local youth to participate in Club programs.
